Moseys Production Machinists, Inc. announces its acquisition of Spectra-Physics Oroville, California fabrication facility from Irvine based Newport Corporation. As opposed to a planned plant closure, this acquisition saves 30 local jobs in Oroville while maintaining the skills and equipment that produce Spectra-Physics’ most critical components to their laser products. With this investment, MPM diversifies its customer base and services while adding a facility to serve its Northern California based customers from a closer proximity.
